Need help with old steering column wiring color code. The following is a ford publication that shows the wire colors used for each circuit as well as the circuit numbers for them. This is by no means absolutely complete as chevy changed things here and there as well as had different color codes for options such as power windows or air conditioning.

Discussion starter · #1 · may 21, 2002. Disconnect the turn signal connector, the wiper switch connector and the cruise connector, if equipped. It has to do with the grouping of functions and colors.

I've been serching the web and found references to it, but no chart. Does anyone know what the gm wire color coding system is? I have everything in, but i am not sure about how to decipher the parallel.

I'm fairly confident that both auto makers have made changes, additions and deletions to these tables, so a vom or trouble light test before you throw the switch would be prudent.but, it will at lease give you a place to start looking for continuity.
